Cinco Cabras Felices is a print of the original mixed media collage of five happy goats. The materials I used to create this collage were cattlemarkers & watercolors, porcupine quills, gold acrylic and peacock, emu & parakeet feathers. The reference photos I took were at a farm near Sheridan, Montana.
I developed my own style of collage by using painted paper or recycled paintings. I cut or tear the painted paper into pieces and then assemble them into layers, often adding a variety of materials to adorn each image. Each brilliantly-colored and whimsical image tells its own story and is often a reflection of my own personal struggles and triumphs. I earned my bachelor of fine arts degree from Montana State University and currently resides in Bozeman, Montana. You can find more of my art at shirleyrobinett.com.
