War Pony is a print from the original mixed media collage of a running horse. The materials I used to create the collage were cattle markers, watercolor, ginger tea, Columbia coffee, aspen leaves, porcupine quills, and emu & Montana sharp tail grouse feathers.

I developed my own style of collage by using painted paper or recycled paintings. I cut or tear the painted paper into pieces and then assemble them into layers, often adding a variety of materials to adorn each image. Each brilliantly-colored and whimsical image tells its own story and is often a reflection of my own personal struggles and triumphs. I earned my bachelor of fine arts degree from Montana State University and currently resides in Bozeman, Montana. You can find more of my art at shirleyrobinett.com.
